We use the CliftonStrengths test as a foundation for team development, leadership development, and individual coaching. As Gallup-certified Strengths Coaches, we have access to Gallup’s professional strength development tools and are trained in implementing strengths-based organizational development.

History

Since the 1950s, Gallup has interviewed millions of people to better understand human talents. In the 1990s, a team of researchers led by psychologist Donald O. Clifton—later recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA) as the father of strengths-based psychology—developed a groundbreaking test.

This test, originally called StrengthsFinder, was later renamed CliftonStrengths and measures 34 talent themes, which everyone possesses to varying degrees.

The StrengthsFinder test was introduced in 2001, alongside the bestselling book Now, Discover Your Strengths.

About the Test

CliftonStrengths is an objective tool that measures personal talents—natural abilities that can be developed into strengths when used consciously. Test results provide a foundation for identifying, developing, and activating your strongest talents.

While our talents are unique, Gallup’s research has identified 34 talent themes. The CliftonStrengths test reveals which of these 34 talents are most dominant for you.

The test consists of 177 questions, each presenting two statements. You have 20 seconds to choose the one that best describes you.
